Examples of Improving Rigor.
There are simple ways we can add rigor in our classrooms by giving some thought to the problems we assign our students.
1st Grade - Measurement
"Students can think about how we can properly measure things by offering them hands on strings, straws, and wires."
4th Grade - Place Value
"Students can learn place value by thinking and creating different numbers based on the directives."
5th Grade - Volume
"Students can conceptually think about volume by thinking how the height of the water is affected due to removing the lead cube."
